DETOX SOUP

A rainy day is the perfect time to make a warm and cozy soup!🌧

I love this soup cuz it includes some of my favorite ingredients that also happen to be detoxifying & boost our immunity- which is much needed right now!

✅CABBAGE: Its diuretic properties help rid your body of excess liquid, carrying toxins along with it. Sulfur-rich, helping your liver break down toxins so they can be more easily expelled.

✅KALE : powerful anti-cancer and antioxidant compounds that help cleanse the body of harmful substances. It is also high in fiber, which helps cleanse the intestinal tract. Overall, strengthens liver cleansing.

✅CELERY: Reduces inflammation, a blood cleanser and contains many different anti-cancer compounds that help detoxify cancer cells from the body.  

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
·       2 tbsps olive oil or coconut oil
·       1 Yellow Onion (diced)
·       2 stalks Celery (diced)
·       2 Carrot (medium, peeled and diced)
·       4 Garlic (cloves, minced)
·       1 head Cabbage (chopped )
·       4 cups Kale Leaves (chopped)
·       6 cups Organic veg/bone Broth @organikahealth
·       2 1/4 cups Lentils (cooked)
·       Sea Salt to taste
·       OPTIONAL: add turmeric, ginger and/or cayenne for some spice!

INSTRUCTIONS

*Heat the olive oil in a large pot. Add the onion, celery, and carrots. Cook for about 10 min. Add garlic, cook for 3 more min.

*Add the cauliflower, kale, & broth. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer. Let simmer for 20 minutes.

*Stir in the cooked lentils & season to taste. Enjoy!
