HEMP PROTEIN BALL

❓What makes a good protein ball❓

MOIST- this is KEY 🔑! Nobody likes it dry, pasty, with crumbs falling everywhere. Ensure there’s enough nut butter, honey or add some water to make the consistency right!


CRUNCH- I like adding a subtle crunch. Roll them in coconut flakes, add raw cacao nibs, flax seeds, chocolate chips -the sky is the limit!

CHEWY – adding in banana and bit of honey to increase the chew factor.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE – pack in the nutrients! Ensure there’s fiber, protein, antioxidants and not too much sugar.

RAW -this is optimal to not degrade all the lovely nutritional benefits.


HEMP PROTEIN BALLS- Try out my latest protein ball recipe, it includes ALL the elements!


INGREDIENTS
✅2 cups quick oats
✅1/2 cup almond butter
✅1/4 cup raw honey
✅ 1 ripe mashed banana
✅1/2 cup raw cacao nibs
✅pinch of sea salt
✅1/4 cup of hemp seeds to roll them in
*optional 2 scoops protein or collagen powder, cinnamon and/or vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. MIX ALL DRY INGREDIENTS TOGETHER INTO A BOWL , MIX.
  2. ADD WET INGREDIENTS & MIX WELL
  3. FORM INTO BALLS
  4. PLACE HEMP SEEDS IN A SMALL BOWL AND ROLL PROTEIN BALL IN THE HEMP SEEDS
  5. KEEP IN FRIDGE OR FREEZER
