Sweet Potato Toast

Sweet potato toast is an excellent alternative to regular toast, even gluten free toast, especially for those who are trying to cut out ingredients like gluten, wheat and grains.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large sweet potato (wide is best)
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut off the ends of the sweet potato then cut it lengthwise in ¼ inch slices so it resembles long, toast like pieces.
  • You can either put the slices in your toaster until it’s a golden brown color (2-3 toasts) or put in your oven on a baking sheet and set it to broil and bake for 3-6 mins or until golden brown as well.
  • Let it cool slightly and you can then add a variety of toppings! 

Notes

* Before all of these steps, please remember to wash the sweet potato thoroughly as you will be consuming the nutritious skin as well.
